Gaming Stuff.

I am a Gamer. A Gamer with a capital G!  I have been known to eat, sleep and breathe games (as my friends will tell you!)  I am  known for my passion for all things Nintendo.  This stems from years spent playing on a Super Nintendo games such as "Super Star Wars" and anything Mario Bros. based while I lost ten years of my life to a rather debilitating illness known as M.E. (or CFS).  The games kept my mind active and the repetativeness of some gave my tired brain cells something to focus on.  It also fueled my love for games.  Move on a few years and I am still hooked up to a games console daily.  My DS is my pride and joy and the Wii is a source of endless fun!  I do stray now and again to other consoles but the daily use is Nintendo all the way.

I give great thanks every day that my partner Cindy is as avid a gamer as I am and loves her DS as much I do.

I wanted to use this page to enthuse about some of the great games out there that have kept me busy while not writing.  These are Lesley's highly recommended 'go buy now' Wii games:

1) The "Wii Fit".  Now I know, the idea of games and exercise just don't seem right, but if this board can get me, someone seriously sport deficient, to get up and play then it's a miracle worker!  Great fun and there's more games on the way to use it for more than yoga and aerobics.

2) "Mario Kart Wii".  A brilliant racer where a novice can beat someone who has played for years.  Happened to me.  Still stings!

3) "Super Mario Galaxy".  Got to have Mario, he's what makes Nintendo great!

4) "Super Smash Bros. Brawl"....let's get ready to rumble!

Check out "Little Kings Story" on the Wii if you like your RPG with a bit of "Harvest Moon" mixed in!

Keep your eyes out for "Super Mario Galaxy 2" coming next year, but before then a superb looking "Super Mario Bros Wii" is coming out and an addition for the Wii Fit, called, what else - "Wii Fit Plus". "EA Active" is a marvellous way to keep in trim and they have a sequel prepared too. So many games to choose from!

But most importantly, for this summer, "Wii Sports Resort". The sequel to the game that came with your Wii. Go visit Wuhu Island and put the new Motion Plus to the test in archery, canoeing, swordplay and target frisbee. I have my visit to the island booked already!

I'd write more but I have games to play!
